Powder-coated steel constructions for metal locker cabinets
Steel is an ideal material for locker cabinets. DIVIKOM only processes high-quality sheet steel. No other metal can be processed so efficiently, perfectly and dimensionally stable, while at the same time offering maximum resistance to external influences.
The corrosion resistance of the metal does not diminish the benefits either, which is no problem in dry interiors! Corrosion protection and perfection of the design are served equally by powder coating. The coloured powder hits the metal surface at around 180 degrees and literally burns into it during the melting process. The result is an insoluble compound that allows neither moisture nor oxygen to pass through. As no solvents are required and the passing powder is reusable, this process can be categorised as particularly environmentally friendly.
Steel furniture also makes an active contribution to fire protection, as it prevents the spread of fire. They also protect the contents from flames and flying sparks.
The Locker Steel cabinet and its key properties
The extremely good workability and dimensional stability, coupled with ultra-modern, flexible and computer-controlled processing machines, result in an extremely cost-effective product.
The tried-and-tested spot welding process, which has been used successfully in the automotive industry for many decades, makes a further contribution to this. There is no distortion due to the effect of heat, which means that the accuracy of fit is not compromised. Small gaps and precise dimensional repeatability contribute significantly to the creation of a balanced design.

- Doors in double-walled design
Double-walled doors are a standard feature of DIVIKOM. This achieves maximum torsional rigidity, which also serves to prevent forced opening attempts. At the same time, the dimensionally stable door body ensures even contact with the rebate of the door frame.
- Forced ventilation
The standard equipment also includes automatic ventilation and air extraction. The air exchange is achieved by the so-called chimney effect. This means that no energy is consumed. Clothes can dry even when the door is closed. The upper part of the body, the back and the bottom of the parcel shelf are equipped with air openings for this purpose.
However, additional electrical forced ventilation is also possible for extreme situations.
- Minimal tolerances for gap dimensions
Without an air gap between the door and the rebate in the door frame, no Locker function. However, this air gap should be as small as possible so that breaker tools do not have the opportunity to make contact. DIVIKOM fulfils this requirement thanks to its high-precision processing technology. This also supports the balanced design.
- More safety thanks to internal pivot pins
Internal pivot pins in the doors also prevent attempts to force the doors open. The pivot pins cannot be accessed with hammers, crowbars or pliers.
- Rubber buffer and opening limiter
Whether children, teenagers or even adults, accidental overturning of the door leaves cannot be avoided. To counteract this, all doors have an opening limiter. Nevertheless, the opening angle is approx. 100 degrees.
The door leaves are completely insensitive to closing or slamming. However, the associated noise is perceived by the environment as very unpleasant and annoying. This is prevented by rubber buffers fitted all round.
- Lock systems
You can buy locker cabinets from us at very favourable prices! However, the favourable price has no influence whatsoever on convenience and quality. This also applies to high-quality locking systems, for example. The standard equipment includes quality cylinder locks which are always supplied with two keys.

- Locker with steel doors: Lockers are available with plinths or 4 feet. The inner wall of the door can also be perforated and have an additional hook. The clothes rail and three movable hooks are located under the hat shelf in the upper section.
- Lockers with wooden decor: Various decors in wood or plain colours complement the otherwise lacquered steel doors. In addition to steel doors, doors made of HPL, melamine or MDF are also available.
- Divided locker cabinets: This section contains horizontally divided cupboards or so-called Z-cupboards, which can be used by two people alternately. On the other hand, a neat "black and white separation" can also be created here. Casual clothing no longer comes into contact with work clothing.
Z wardrobes have the advantage that long items of clothing can be stored in their entire length despite the subdivision.
- Dimensions: Lockers have a standard height of 1800 mm and a depth of 500 mm. Three width versions are available - 300, 350 and 400 mm.
- Locker cabinets for schools: These models differ only in their height dimensions. Several heights are available.
Accessories for locker wardrobe
In the accessories category, there is another extensive range available that can help to solve individual problems:
- Pitched roofs: Dirt and dust can accumulate very quickly on the cupboards. Sloping roofs therefore have a very practical function and make it easier to keep things clean. They also prevent food from being left behind, which can easily be forgotten. They can also be used as a cavity for concealing water and energy lines or pipework.
- Underbuilt benches: Bench bases accommodate the entire cabinet on the rear section, while the seat, which is fitted with wooden or plastic slats, is located in front of the cabinet.
The opening of the doors is of course not affected.
- Shoe drawer: There is space under the seat for a shoe drawer. For example, to store dirty work clothes ready for collection.
- Foot grate: Benches can also be integrated with a folding foot grate, which is also covered with plastic or wood. This means that feet do not come into contact with the dirty and cold floor while changing.
